06 30 10 Out this week on Sony Music and available for download on iTunes today, Sara Bareilles releases her new music video for “King of Anything,” the single from her album Kaleidoscope Heart. The video was directed by Laurent Briet and produced by Greencard Pictures. Shot in Vancouver, Bareilles stars as a daydreaming diner patron playing piano on keys of silverware while piecing together fragments of memories to create the life she wants for herself. Her memories are materialized through the expolration of photographic collages. Shot digitally, Briet utilized traditional and analog photographic elements to bring the footage to life. See the video’s television premier on VH1 on July 1st. |

06 23 10 Labour recently collaborated with beauty retailer, Sephora to create a criminally cute thirty-second spot for their new Tokidoki cosmetics and accessories line. This is the first of many projects that Greencard will be doing with Sephora, this year. Featuring character designs by Simone Legno and 3D Modeling by The Molecule, the spot can be caught on Hulu, this month. |

05 17 10 Move over “Lost” and “Mad Men,” LA Times’ Robert Lloyd has a new favorite show. Food Party! Lloyd gave it high praise, calling it “strange and delightful, poetic and beautiful, silly and disturbing.” He also enjoyed that the show was still able to maintain it’s home made dadaesque aura that made it a cult sensation in the first place. Check out Food Party on the IFC Channel at 10PM on Tuesdays to see what all the fuss is about. You don’t want to be the only one around the water cooler on Wednesday not knowing how to make spaghetti-and-ham pancakes. |

Shot on location in Milan, the high energy video shows a quick day in the life of Italian DJ crew, Crookers. The video for the song, "Clap Your Hands," was released this week and has been getting a lot of love in the blogosphere. The video is the surreal vision of innovative director Kris Moyes. In it, Sia shows off her electrifying puppet dance moves as she moves throughout a vibrant world of glowing pop art. Check it out! |

He also directed music videos for artists including Death Cab for Cutie, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jem and Radiohead, as well as a short film for Pangea Day sponsored by Nokia. In the last few years Greencard has produced Laurent's videos for Albert Hammond, Catherine Feeny, Leona Naess and Griffin House, in addition to a recently wrapped commercial shoot for Converse & Foot Locker. 03 16 10 Devendra Banhart releases the music video for "Baby", off his album What We Will Be. The video was directed by Ron Winter. In it, the band goes "where the sun don't shine", traveling through a psychedelic, strange land, meeting a mélange of creatures along the way. Ron and his team created the netherworld through a mix of mediums including claymation, watercolor, and 3D animation. The music video was produced by Greencard Pictures. Original character design was done by Liz Riccardi. |

From your favorite sports team to your choice of abstract design or color, Dell is collaborating with different graphic designers and fine artists to create a line of computers unlike any other. Creative Director for the Design Project is the passionate Gordon Hull. As the founder of Surface to Air, Hull has recruited some of the countries most eclectic to the Dell Design Studio. Aaron Wesner shot this short documentary on Hull and the process of creating a new aesthetic for laptop design. |

The doc follows several people from the street and into their apartments survelliancing them through GPS units and finding "good" in a little bit of everything. 10 27 09 "Welcome to the Family" is a new documentary directed by Labour about the relationship between Porsche owners and their cars. The documentary was produced by Greencard for the agency Cramer-Krasselt, premiering last thursday on IFC. It features interviews with Porsche owners from all walks of life, including actor Jerry Seinfeld, and is highlighted by stunning visuals from Labour. |

10 05 09 Isolated by a bleak winter somewhere in the Northeast, it's one man's imagination and fight for survival that evokes tribal spirits in this new music video from Greencard director Ron Winter. Shot in the dead of winter in rural Vermont, this short narrative featuring the one-man-wonder known as Yoriyos premiered last month at Tarfest in Hollywood. While on a trip through the woods a young photographer (played by Yoriyos) runs into a group of creatures out of a whole different kind of trip. This bizarre encounter plays out in a series of events which influence his fate in ways he may not have hoped to imagine. |

The result is one video and one polaroid telling a story for EACH pair of New Balance 574 Shoes. Mother New York invented the ingenious campaign and we were more than happy to participate. While trying out his experimental flux capacitor he bought on German ebay, Ron Winter traveled to 2084 to create a new video for Modular artist Bag Raiders. The video combines 3D modeling and a matrix of effects new and old to make this Ecstacy-Influenced hotel room party that is part Miami Vice, part Tron. Produced by Nicky Maser, Ron spent an afternoon shooting the band and about six weeks creating the visual effects in between collaborating with Ray Tintori for the new MGMT video "Kids". |

06 16 09 Greencard's first nationally broadcast TV show, Food Party, officially premiered last Tuesday on IFC's Automat. The show is now airing every Tuesday Night at 11:15pm on IFC. The show’s recent premiere has generated fantastic press in the past two weeks. The New York Times interviewed creator Thu Tran for their front-page article in The Arts section, hailing the show as a place for Ms. Tran to “bring her colorful and bizarre fantasies to life”. TV Guide describes Food Party as an "outrageously bizarre show… one strange brew". The Houston Chronicle compares the show to the likes of “George Kuchar… Guy Maddin, and of Red Grooms and Rudy Burkhardt, and also Pee-Wee’s Playhouse”, on top of being “full of youthful energy”. The show is also written up in The Los Angeles Times, The Seattle Times, The Hartford Courant, The United Features Syndicate, and more. |

"We were just sitting in the van on tour just completely crammed and squished together, and we were like, 'Remember when we used to like going around in big vehicles, like when we were younger? He just completed two intriguing spots for pharmaceutical company Novartis Oncology and their product, Afinitor. Shot by Doug Emmett with art direction by John Furgason, these super-fun spots were made in collaboration with Supermarché and produced by Justin Lundstrom. The commercials have just premiered in Barcelona, but you can watch them here -- choose your own setting in either the city or the country. |

Matthew Lessner directed a new music video for the eclectic glam rockers Fires of Rome. The video was shot by Jody Lee Lipes on a special high speed camera, capturing all action in super slow motion. The video was produced by Justin Lundstrom and has been chosen as the "Video of the Week" on the second most-watched private television service in France - Métropole 6 (M6) - for the week of March 4th. From basements to rooftops to abandoned warehouses, the duo behind A/V 222 have perfected the fusion of lo and hi-fi filmmaking and live recording. Juan Pieczanski (Juan's Basement, PitchforkTV) and audio engineer Jeff Curtin (Vampire Weekend, Those Darlins) have collaborated on dozens of live concert films, and their content has aired on PitchforkTV, IFC and PlumTV. In addition to in-your-face performance production, A/V 222 have interviewed and documented the lives of a wide range of artists, from David Byrne to Wu-Tang Clan to Steve Reich, creating unique branded content for both tv and web. Discovery just launched its spot for the new season of Man Vs. Wild featuring its host Bear Grylls trenching through the hazardous depths of... Central Park? Shot in one day by Greencard's skilled production crew, you wouldn't know it from looking, but the entire advertisement was shot in the middle of New York City. Man Vs. Wild airs Mondays at 10pm ET/PT, kicking off its new season on January 12th, 2009. The trailer is currently running on television and can also be seen on the web. Producing this trailer for the new season was a first time collaboration with Australian-Based company Umeric. The spot was directed by Ash Bollan and produced by Rene Shalala. |

Matthew Lessner's Darling Darling was released internationally last month on iTunes and became one of the best selling shorts according to it's distributor. This month, the short film has been released as part of the Wholphin DVD Magazine, published by McSweeney's and available online or in book stores. The DVD features two alternate versions of the film, where dialogue was re-written and recorded by John Cleese (of Monty Python) and Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket's).
