From basements to rooftops to abandoned warehouses, the duo behind A/V 222 have perfected the fusion of lo and hi-fi filmmaking and live recording. Juan Pieczanski (Juan's Basement, PitchforkTV) and audio engineer Jeff Curtin (Vampire Weekend, Those Darlins) have collaborated on dozens of live concert films, and their content has aired on PitchforkTV, IFC and PlumTV. In addition to in-your-face performance production, A/V 222 have documented the lives of a wide range of artists, from David Byrne to Wu-Tang Clan to Steve Reich, creating unique branded content for both tv and web. |
